Hi I'm Deidre

I am a former pageant queen. I plan events for a living. I run a lifestyle and fashion blog. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Idaho, went to Utah for college, and now I am in Arizona. In Idaho I took dance lessons for 16 years and taught for 5 years. I am a four time Miss Idaho competitor, placing in the top ten and wining the Miss America Community Service Award. And now that I am married I am the PR Chair for the organization. In Utah I graduated from BYU and met the love of my life. While going to college I started a blog for fun and now have turned it into a part-time job and full-time hobby talking about my life with Adam and all my fashion love. In 2013 Adam got drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks and now here we are in Arizona. My husband plays baseball and I work in events for Marriott.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church offers me friendship and family no matter where I live. We recently moved somewhere with no friends or family, but we were able to find our church building within the first day of moving. And our first Sunday there was an instant community, I felt like I had been going to church with them my whole life. That is the beautiful part of being a Mormon, I always have a family and I always have a place to worship. The Church has taught me that my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ loves me no matter. I am a daughter of God, and He loves me forever and always.

How I live my faith

I am learning better ways to live my faith every day. It all started by doing the simple things like going to church every week, saying daily prayers, and watching conference every year. And slowly it has grown into something much more. I was a youth camp counselor for the church for 3 years and now I teach the primary kids at the building I attend. The greatest way I live my faith? By sharing it with those around me. I share my favorite quotes by Mormon leaders on social media, I write about it on my blog, I don't shy away from offering prayers to those in need, and I share my experiences and testimony with those that ask.
