Hi I'm Sterling

I was born in California and have since lived in Hawaii, Utah, Ohio, and Arizona. I'm currently a college student

About Me

My hobbies include sports, reading, writing, and keeping up on current events. In my free time you can usually catch me enjoying a TED talk or a good book. I'm a rather simple person who enjoys learning anything and everything about this world and the people in it.

Why I am a Mormon

The LDS Church is great because of how it encourages members to live their lives. With any religion, there can be countless disputes over doctrine and scripture. However, I can find little fault in the LDS Church directions of refraining from addictive substances and habits and focusing on the unit of the family. In addition, the LDS Church stresses service for one's fellow man; many members of the Church make many efforts to extend their hand to those in need, whether or not they are LDS. The LDS Church has been great in my life and exactly what I have needed to live life to the fullest. Without the Church, I know that I would not have experienced the successes that I have achieved in school and in sports, and I know that I would have less direction in life. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

You can often tell LDS individuals from others based on the way they speak, carry themselves, and act. As virtually all agree, no one person on this planet is perfect. However, faithful LDS church members seek to avoid profane language, impure thoughts and actions, and substance abuse. Acting in accord with the moral standards of the LDS Church is a recognizable way in which most LDS Church members live their faith. I live my faith by striving every day to follow God's commandments and adhering to the standards of the Church. This includes holding my standards even when surrounded by those who do not necessarily share the same values as I do.

Are Mormons Christians?

Sterling
Yes! Mormons are very much Christians! We believe that Jesus Christ is the living Son of the living God. He is our Savior and our Redeemer. We believe that it is through his atonement that men might be redeemed of their sins and forgiven. The full name of the "Mormon" Church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; our church is a church centered on Christ and his gospel. Show more Show less
