Hi I'm Daniel Butterfield

I am from West Valley City, Utah. I'm a son, a brother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

In High School, I was a wrestler, a runner, and in the JROTC. I like running and and I plan on going to college after I serve a full time 2 year mission for my church. I like spending time with my family and reading.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a loving family who love the Lord. This gospel brings me peace and happiness everyday. I love to obey the gospel. It gives me peace and I want to serve the Lord. While growing up, it has been in my home and has been a major part of my life. I am so grateful to have the gospel in my life and I know this gospel is true. I was preparing for college, but then I asked for a testimony and then I understood so much more and now I can't imagine life without it.

How I live my faith

I attend church regularly and am a Sunday School Teacher for 16-18 year olds. I read the scriptures and pray daily. I love spending time with my family, they are my best friends. The gospel brings me so much happiness every day. It makes me so happy and every day I try to be a better person than I was yesterday.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Daniel Butterfield
As I was growing up, I was never really forced to go on a mission. I was always told that it was my own decision. I prayed about it and came to the decision on my own that I wanted to serve a mission and bring the gospel to others and let them share the happiness that I have felt. We believe in free agency. We are not required or forced to do anything. It is always our own decision if we want to do something or not. I am going on a mission because I love others and want to share the gospel and my testimony with them. Show more Show less
