Hi I'm Jacob Ray

I lived for two years in the Philippines. I'm a college student majoring in Psychology. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The most important thing about me is my family; they are what make me who I am. I learned how important families are as I served as a missionary in the Philippines(in the Cebu area) for two years. Filipino people love their families and taught me how important families are. I love serving people, I have found that we are the strongest when we are helping others become stronger themselves. I am a college student majoring in Psychology. I chose this major because I know there are many people who suffer from mental conditions that greatly affect their lives. I want to be able to help.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because here I found the complete picture. Every question I have ever wondered about God, who He is, and why He is such a part of our lives has and continues to be answered. I learned here that He has a specific plan for us to follow, with a specific end goal that leads us back to Heaven. I don't worry about my future knowing that I have found His way. I know that everyone who learns of Him can find this peace and confidence in their lives. It can all start with one step. We can start by Simply praying to our Heavenly Father and asking Him for help and then listening to the feelings He will gives us. He will let us all feel the hope of the future that He has planned for us.

How I live my faith

The biggest way that I live my Faith is by loving and serving my family and others. I strive to show this love in often simple ways, like a text asking how they are doing, by service or simply being there to listen when they need to talk. Additionally, I strive always to reach out to others, especially when I see others alone or seeming down. I feel that is the way the Savior lived His life. I also visit others when they are sick or just need some support so that they can keep moving forward. During my mission in the Philippines I invited people to learn about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and to follow Their plan for our happiness and I still continue to do this today.
