Hi I'm Chad Hugie

I was born in Mesa, Arizona; lived in Kaysville, Utah; moved to Logan, Utah; and now live in Provo, Utah, studying at BYU.

About Me

I am a full-time student at Brigham Young University, studying Accounting. I love to play tennis, golf, go boating, and ride motorcycles. I have a passion for cars and for my family. I am the oldest of four children and the son of two wonderful parents. I have been a member of the LDS Church for my entire life, and I absolutely love it.

Why I am a Mormon

Many people argue that "seeing is believing." Frankly, I do think that it is nice to physically see evidence that proves the authenticity of an organization or fact. I have been shown many different evidences that support the truthfulness of the LDS church, but that is not why I am a Mormon. I am a Mormon because of the subtle feelings and impressions received from the Holy Ghost on multiple occasions. Many people have tried to convince me that the LDS Church is false, and that it teaches corrupt doctrines, but I always revert back to the spiritual experiences that I have had that fortified my testimony. I will never be able to forget or deny those feelings. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through each of the daily actions that I take and the decisions that I make. I have found through many of my life experiences that The Lord is always by our side. I don't consider myself to be a genius, so overly-talented, but I have learned that as we rely on The Lord in all that we do, along with doing our part, everything will fall in its place. I have been given many opportunities to serve within the LDS Church for many years. Growing up in the church, I have served others within the quorums that I was associated with. Also, from July 2011 - July 2013, I served as a full-time missionary for the LDS Church in the country of Paraguay. I was able to help so many people there, but more importantly, I was able to see the gospel change the eternal course of many people. More recently I have been involved in callings that have allowed me to organize activities, prepare and teach lessons, and work in administrative duties of the church. These opportunities and blessings have allowed me to see the hand of The Lord in each step we take each day. I have learned so much, and as I continue to live my faith, I will continue learning and growing in the years to come.
