Hi I'm Naomi

I love Star Wars, camping, and photography; but most of all, I love that I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised a Jehovah's Witness, but as young child I always knew that is was not right. When I turned 18, I left the religion and resorted to ignoring all things that had to do with God. Heavenly Father had a different plan for me though. My best friend, who is a Mormon, would invite me to church and occasionally I would go. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a very special thing. Because whenever I was at church with my friend I thoroughly enjoyed it and I would always feel peace while I was there. Eventually she moved away for college and I began going to church on my own. That is when I started to take lessons from the missionaries and later became a baptized and confirmed member of the church. I am now a college student and preparing to serve a full-time mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is no greater joy that one can find. Joining the church has been the best decision of my life. I am able to find joy and peace through trials and tribulations. I also know that I am a daughter of a Heavenly King who loves and knows better than I know myself, with that in mind I have comfort that I will be watched over and loved by Him always.

How I live my faith

I know that as a member of the church I have had the special opportunity to bring the Light of Christ into others lives like my friend did for me. I live my faith by doing my best to be a charitable person, like Christ was. I love to volunteer at various non-profit organizations around my town and serve those in need. The Book of Mormon teaches in Moroni 7:47 that "charity is the pure love of Christ", so I try to be as much like Christ as possible at all times.
