Hi I'm Jeff Prows

I love music, I love singing, and I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I believe singing to be one of the finest ways for humans to express themselves in spirit and in mind and heart, it is so beautiful. I am freshly graduated from high school and currently preparing to serve a full-time mission in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico. I love the gospel, it has shaped my life completely and I fully recognize that all the blessings I currently have are in line with the teachings of the gospel, and are only there because of my savior. After my mission I plan on going to school at the University of Utah studying Physics and Vocal Performance. I mostly plan on having a family and being married in an LDS temple.

Why I am a Mormon

There is one grand reason for everything. Of course, there are mini sub-answers that reveal what we need to know about any question, but everything always falls into one grand answer that summarizes the whole thing. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints summarizes everything. It gives me purpose, it gives me understanding, it helps me feel content, and it brings me joy. I know Christ lives, and that he gave his live for me and gives his love for me still today. There is nothing on the face of the earth, or a power in heaven or hell that could ever separate me from this knowledge. I believe in Christ not just because of the word of others, or because I was raised in His teachings. Not even just because we have eye-witnesses of the resurrected savior in this church. I believe in Christ and in this church, because He has changed me and my life, and saved me. That is my evidence.

How I live my faith

Home teaching is probably the most political calling I currently have in the church. Other than that, I try hard to make sure I know the gospel and that I am prepared to share it with who ever should question it should the occasion arise. I want to be an example of how the Gospel makes life a far more positive thing than life could ever be without it, so i strive in study and strive in prayer and gospel living. I am not very concerned with anything outside of my personal purity.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Jeff Prows
There is no secret in what is going on in our temples. Those who enter receive blessings from heaven that strengthen them in this life, and of course for the life to come. The things that happen within our temples are considered very sacred, however. We don't talk about very specific things for the purpose of keeping those things holy in our lives, and to make sure that it doesn't become a mocked or reviled thing throughout the world. Anyone is welcome to enter the temple. The Lord promises blessings when we enter, and in return we must promise him to live our lives worthily so that we can be clean enough to be there. In a way, the temple is a symbol of heaven, to us. With the temple having high standards, it motivates members to live their lives the way God would have us live them so that they may someday enter, and receive the blessings therein.
