Hi I'm Teameaka Ray Grover

I was born in Tampa, Florida, but grew up in Trenton, New Jersey. I live in Racine, WI with my three children and Husband.

About Me

I am a wife and mother. I have an amazing family! Currently, I am working on a PhD in sociology. My areas of interests are centered on urban crime and social control. I also teach at a technical college in Milwaukee, WI where I teach sociology, psychology, and media ethics. It has been extremely difficult to juggle home, school, and work, but it is very rewarding. In my spare time, I like to scrapbook and go to scrapbook expos. I love spending time with my family; we take many trips and spend most of our time outdoors. We love fishing, hiking, biking, camping, and swimming. Most of all, we love visiting the various temples throughout the U.S.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I believe the doctrine that is taught within this church to be true. I have received a confirmation of the truthfulness of this gospel from our Heavenly Father after praying about the Book of Mormon. I prayed to know whether the Book of Mormon was a true testament of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. God answered my prayer assuring me that this is the true church of Christ and that the doctrines taught in this church will bring me closer to God and the Savior. Before I prayed about the Book of Mormon, missionaries came to my home to teach me the gospel. They asked me to take Moroni's challenge contained in the tenth chapter and fourth verse of the Book of Mormon. " And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost." When I read these words, the spirit touched my heart and bore record that the words I was reading were true. Although I felt as though I received confirmation from the Lord without even first asking Him the question, I still took the challenge and prayed. I received a confirmation from Heaven, the very next day, that the Book that I was praying about was indeed true. Nothing in life, up to this point, has never been so clear to me as it was in that moment. I have never before felt such power or experienced absolute certainty as I did when the Holy Ghost bore record of this sacred book!

How I live my faith

As a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I have been issued the call to teach Sunday school lessons to many women in our ward. I teach the principles of the gospel inviting all to learn the doctrine of Christ and take the challenge to become more like our Savior. I have learned much while teaching the gospel of Christ, and it has brought me closer to my savior.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
