Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in Clawson, UT. I have a pretty big family. I am the oldest son in my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, My name is Robert(18), I was born into the Church. I have been involved in numerous activities; such as Football(American), Baseball, a little bit of Basketball, I love theater. I do plan on going to college; hopefully BYUI. :). Some of the greatest times in theater have been when I was in the different musicals. I have been in Oliver Twist, Into the Woods(the JR. version sadly), The King and I, Tarzan, and the most recent musical was Shrek.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Well the answer to that is i have always been a member. Though i wasn't fully converted to this gospel until about my 9th grade year. I have gone through multiple trials, ad hardships to get where i am today. The out come of these trials was me finding the Savior, and the light and truth that he brings. Why you may ask am I still a member? Throughout these last days, the power of Satan is growing enormously. Nearly anywhere you look you can see his influence, in the media, in home, and in some cases it goes even deeper for others to see it in you. The reason I am still a member is because I know that through Christ anything is possible. It is possible to feel the love of the Savior even in your darkest days. He is the light to you in dark places; when all other lights go out. Another reason is that I know the Gospel is true. The Holy Ghost has bore record of that to me. Jesus is the savior of the world. He really did come to the earth to take upon him the sins, pains, and sorrows of man so that we could return to our loving Heavenly Father. He is the son of God. He suffered pains and afflictions and temptations of EVERY kind. He was the ultimate example of how we are to return to our Father. He bled in the Garden, bled from every pore, and yet the Atonement was not yet over. He was betrayed by those closest to him, ridiculed with a crown of thorns, and hung on a cross to die for men. Three days later he is risen so that we may be risen. He came to the Americas and taught his gospel. After a period of time when the priesthood was taken away, he and the Father appeared to Joseph Smith, and through Him restored Christ's Beloved gospel. This Church is true. Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God. Thomas Spencer Monson is the true prophet on the Earth today. Christ has a body of flesh and bone, and he will come again in all his glory. I know that we all will get the chance to see him again, and we all will be ressurected.

How I live my faith

I have been in multiple Youth leadership positions in several different wards. My most recent calling was a ward youth missionary. During this calling, I had the great opportunity to teach one of my good friends. Now he excepted the gospel, had the missionary discussions, and was baptized. I had the opportunity to baptize him. It was one of the most amazing experiences that I have had. That is just a part of how I live my faith. I have been called to serve as a missionary to the Lubbock Texas Mission (Spanish speaking) and I cant wait. I will be continuing a great mission on which i will be able to share the love and joy that i have for this beloved gospel. I will be able to share the love of the Savior to the Lords children and bring them back to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. I have been involved in numerous activities for the youth. I was in a youth committee where we planned youth conference. On an everyday basis i try to live the standards that are found in the missionary hand book, for the strength of youth handbook, and the Scriptures. Not to forget the most important thing that can be done; saying sincere prayers to our loving Heavenly Father.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Robert
Yes it is most definitely true. Book of Mormon tells us of the Resurrected Christ coming to the Americas, and establishing his church here. Before Christ was crucified and later resurrected he told his Apostles this " And other sheep have which are not of this fold: the also i must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd." (John 10:16) The gospel that is taught in both the Old Testament, and the New Testament, is the gospel that was taught to the Jews. Now the Book of Mormon is the gospel that was taught to the inhabitants of the ancient Americas (other sheep). If you want to know for certain if what i am saying is the truth, then challenge you to read the Book of Mormon, and ask Heavenly Father if it is true. Show more Show less
