Hi I'm Matthew Reed Tenney

I'm from Arizona and I'm happy to serve a mission in the Dominican Republic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the beach, swimming, and spending time with my family. I plan to go to college in the future. I also enjoy exercising. I like camping and riding quads I also enjoy mountain biking a lot. I am an eagle scout.

Why I am a Mormon

Many of the first members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are my ancestors. I was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was eight, I still am in the church because I know for myself that it is the one true church. I have read the Book of Mormon and I prayed about it and I came to know by my own experience, not the experiences of others that all the teachings and principles of that are taught in the Church are true. I like how everything is centered on Christ and his teachings. I also like how the Gospel taught is building and doesn't put down others or their beliefs, and instead is focused on positive things, doing the best we can in striving to live our lives, and love others as Christ does.

How I live my faith

By serving as a family history specialist, I developed an appreciation for family history work by helping people learn how to do their family history work on familylink.com. I will be leaving on a mission to serve the people of the Dominican Republic by teaching them about Christ.
