Hi I'm David

I was raised in Missouri. I love the outdoors. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I grew up in a very small country town and I loved it! In school I played basketball And I still find it relaxing to go shoot around every now and then. I love to play sports or do things outside hiking, camping, four wheeling whatever it is that gets me out. I work in a roofing company along with helping out on ranches with my family. I come from a fairly large family, I am the youngest out of seven and I love spending time with them. I love learning new things about languages and cultures. I speak English and Spanish and I hope to continue learning Spanish and to learn Portuguese and ASL. I want to go to college and get a degree in engineering and learn more about how things work.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church and I had seen the examples of my family members and knew it was a good thing and I trusted them. But the reason that I am a Mormon now is different. I've had my experiences and I know that it's true and that it is what I want to follow in my life. I'm grateful to be part of a religion that believes in modern revelation. To have a living prophet to continue to guide us. It's like parents, just because my parents had parents that taught them doesn't mean I don't need mine to teach me. I wouldn't have enough space here to explain all the things I'm grateful to have because of the lds church. But I am Mormon because it makes me happy and I believe it's true.

How I live my faith

Even though I am one of the few members in my town I am very active. Currently I am a Missionary for the church and am giving two years of service. It has really shown me that a lot of joy I find in life comes from serving others. I love the quote "Preach the gospel at all times and if necessary, use words" showing kindness makes such a difference in everyone's life. I love the gospel. I'm so grateful that we have a prophet today to talk to us and I try to study his words and use them to uplift others and myself of course.
