Hi I'm Karlee

I'm a Mormon, and I live in East Tennessee. I love the church, and I have a testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ.

About Me

I love to read, write, and draw. I like school, and I'm a drama student. I really enjoy crafting and making things.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so I never really knew anything else. But that doesn't make things easier necessarily. I have come to find my testimony through activities and experiences. I came to realize that my Heavenly Father was and is there for me when I moved from my home town. I was terrified that I wouldn't make friends, because I was young and wasn't very social (still working on it). But when I did move in there were many other people who were moving in, and I made a lot of friends and even found one of my best friends now. I had prayed that it wouldn't be too hard to move, and, though it was still tough, I made it through, and now I have a lot of friends.

How I live my faith

I am a Mia Maid, a group in the church for Young Women, in my ward. I help out with our youth activities as much as possible, and I attend early morning seminary, scripture study, throughout the school year.

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Mormon women are the same as any other woman but with mormon standards. You can't tell what a specific personality is, but Mormon women have significant roles in the church. They usually take charge of decorations and food (even if not assigned). They are so sweet to you, and they are amazing role models Men and women are equal, but they have different responsibilities. Men hold the Priesthood. Women don't. This is commanded by the Lord, and it doesn't matter if PEOPLE think women should hold the Priesthood. The LORD is the one who makes the decisions in the church, and he speaks through the prophet, Thomas S. Monson. Show more Show less

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

Everything. There are so many details that go into making this Earth inhabitable (like the exact mass of the earth and it's distance from the sun) that suggest that it is very unlikely that it could just happen by chance. Then the fact that we have life on this earth. There are so many different creatures and people that suggest a divine being is in charge. Show more Show less
