Hi I'm Deanne

I grew up in Hawaii. I love mysteries, spam musubis, and anything fun. I want to be an oncologist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Hawaii. I have two parents, an older brother, and a younger brother. I always had the gospel in life from when I was little, despite the fact that my father was not a member. My mother struggled to raise us as good members in the church by herself. However, the gospel is probably one of the most influential things in my life. From the beginning my parents have always encouraged me to learn. It has caused me to love reading and have a constant thirst for knowledge. In high school I played softball and bowled, two activities which I still enjoy participating in. I love to both read and watch murder mysteries. Trying to figure out mysteries and various other whodunits has always entertained me. I can play the flute and the trombone, which I learned by being in concert and marching band. My favorite interest is to experience different cultures and cities by traveling. I have travelled extensively in the United States, but have not been to many foreign countries. Above all, I love spending time with my family and friends. I am currently majoring in Economics with plans of eventually becoming a doctor. My favorite subjects to study are science and economics.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that this church is true and the Jesus is our Savior. I am forever indebted to Him for all that He has done for me. I am so grateful to know that Heavenly Father and Jesus will always love me no matter what I do, which makes me an earnest believer in my divine heritage. I know that the Book of Mormon can only exist because of the power of God. I earnestly believe in the promise made in Moroni 10 because the Holy Ghost has testified to me of the Book of Mormon’s truthfulness. The power of prayer is of great significance to me. Prayer brings me closer to my Heavenly Father and allows me to converse with Him. I know with certainty that I can kneel down and pray to my Heavenly Father and that He will listen to all of them. Our prayers our not in vain because He will answer them, even if it may not always seem like it to us.

How I live my faith

I cannot wait to share this gospel with others as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it has had such an amazing impact on my life and has given me so much joy. I know that without this gospel I would not be where I am today. The missionaries had changed my life and helped my family to become united in the gospel. I, too, want to have that impact on other families and help them come to the gospel that has made my family so much happier. I was a ward missionary in my young single adult ward and enjoyed helping fellowship others in the gospel. I also enjoyed spending time with the full-time missionaries and helping them out.
