Hi I'm Holly B.

I grew up in Florida. I'm a mother of three. I collect vintage things. I'm the queen of jimmy-rigging. I'm Southern. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Florida but have lived in Georgia for the last 12 years.I'm a southerner through and through, a mother of three kids, one with ADHD and one with Autism. I'm married to the love of my life. I'm a survivor of sexual abuse and domestic violence and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but my mother became inactive when I was young. I continued to go to church functions but did not personally convert until I was 19. My brother had passed away at 16 in a car accident when I was 15. I went through a period of shock and blocked out months. After this I went through a rebellious period in which I experimented with things I didn't need to. At the age of 19 I was living on my own and working several jobs. I had to be in to work very early in the morning and often car pooled. I hadn't gone to church as often as I had in the past but continued to pray. My step brother was preparing for his mission (we are the same age). He had brought me a copy of the Book of Mormon and challenged me to start reading again. I had been impressed every morning for months to read but failed to do so. Early one morning I was waiting for my ride to work when I felt impressed again to read the Book of Mormon. It had been sitting on my coffee table. This time I picked it up and began to read. I read pretty far into 1Nephi but when I had gotten to 1Nephi Chapter 3 verse 7 everything in my life fell into place. I KNEW without a doubt that my life had purpose. Things didn't just happen to me they happened for a reason, a REAL reason and my Father in Heaven loved me so much that he allowed these things to happen because 1st I could handle and learn from it, and 2nd, my reward in Heaven was meant to be great. How I live my faith

Currently, I'm a historian for the women's organization in our church, Relief Society, Ward historian and a Den leader for Cub Scouts. I also visit teach other sisters in the ward. I've had several different callings: youth teacher, emergency preparedness coordinator, nursery leader, chorister, primary teacher, Relief Society teacher and many others. I go to the temple as often as I can.
