Hi I'm John

I'm a U.S. Air Force retired transportation officer, a father and grandfather and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Arizona and attended Brigham Young University. I joined the U. S. Air Force where I served for more than 20 years. My wife and I have four grown children, several grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. We have been married for more than 47 years.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by Mormon parents whose examples have been a guiding light for myself. I participated in all the programs offered by the Church as I was growing up, and endeavored to help my own children enjoy a positive religious experience in their own lives. The gospel of Jesus Christ is one of hope and eternal happiness. The promise that our family can be together in the world hereafter is vitally important to me.

How I live my faith

My membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is very, very important to me. It gives me guidance daily in my life. As a church leader, I am responsible for the spiritual welfare of a large group of men who are vitally interested in helping others.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

John
There is a strong tradition of missionary service in the Mormon Church. My father served in Arkansas and I served in Germany. My two sons served missions in South America, and I have a granddaughter serving a mission in California. We all have been blessed through our efforts to share the gospel with many people around the world. Show more Show less
