Hi I'm David

I was born and raised in Montana. I love pigs, am a missionary in Germany, juggle, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Like it says in my introduction, I grew up on a small farm raising animals for 4-H and for food. Even though I was on the outskirts of the city, I went to a school in the city. As a result I enjoy things like camping, hiking, shooting as well as video games and doing other things in the city. I also really love insects, juggling, and creating/inventing things. I also went to BYU for a year, but am currently serving a two year mission in Germany. When I return I will continue to pursue a mechanical engineering degree.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly the only reason I was a member early on in my life was the fact that my parents were members and took me with them on Sundays. It has only been lately that I have gained a true understanding of what the church is and what a large blessing it is to be a part of it. Perhaps the largest reason I am a Mormon is the fact that the LDS church is the only church that teaches the Plan of Salvation. Not only does it outline our purpose and what will happen to us later on, but it also helped with my largest struggle so far in life. My father died of a heart attack when I was thirteen. It was devastating. The only way I was able to make it through such a trying time was the gospel. It let me know that I will see my father again and that he is watching over me and helping me through life. Family is the most important thing there is, and this church teaches that and emphasizes it over and over again. There are many other reason why I have decided to stay in this church such as a living prophet, the Book of Mormon, and the good things the church does; but the Plan of Salvation and family are the most important to me.

How I live my faith

Through the many clubs and groups I have been involved in I have done a lot of service. This stems directly from the churches emphasis on helping others and I am often involved with doing some small thing for someone else. I have served in several positions in my church such as being a leader of several different age groups in our church and have also helped every Sunday with the preparation and blessing of the sacrament.
