Hi I'm Thomas Ragan

I am a son of an earthly and heavenly father, a brother, an uncle, and friend. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be outdoors playing sports and other recreational activities. I come from a small, loving family who are always there when you need them. I graduated from a Jr. College and plan on attending a University after serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Chile, Concepcion Mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I love His gospel. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life in so many ways. Before becoming a member of His church, I was a young man living in a large world with no religious affiliation. My understanding of things pertaining to the gospel was slim to none. I was unaware of where I came from or where I was going beyond this earthly life. My parents come from distinct ecclesiastical backgrounds. In my youth, they did not sway me nor my sister to choose one religion over another. Instead, they gave us to ability to choose for ourselves. I had a number of encounters during my youth but wasn't officially introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints until my stay at college. One day, two local missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints knocked on my door. Through several visits, studies and prayer, I received the spiritual confirmation that Jesus Christ has restored his church and teachings in this last dispensation. Words cannot describe the joy and happiness I felt that December afternoon when I was baptized and, the following day, confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am grateful for God's charity, mercy, and grace. He has a plan of happiness and joy of which he invites us all to partake. His loving arms are always extended unto us with the invitation to come unto Him. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's kingdom on earth today. I know this to be true and exhort all to "Come and see."

How I live my faith

Christ invites us all to follow him. As I go about my daily tasks at work, school, or interpersonally between family and friends, I strive to remember and follow this invitation. I have learned in faith that church is not a just a Sunday practice. Everyday we have the chance to have charity towards and serve others. Everyday, we can emulate the example of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior, Redeemer, and example. I try and live what I know to be true, and I know that Jesus Christ lives.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Thomas Ragan
God invites all to come and partake of the special ordinances performed in the temple that unite families and help us return to Him. The Temple is the house of God and is a very sacred place. As we learn in faith, we can prepare ourselves to enter His holy temple and participate in His sacred eternal ordinances. Show more Show less
