Hi I'm Marie

Canadian born, raised in California. Serving in New Mexico Albuquerque, I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am an animal enthusiast and conservationsist at heart. I was born in Canada and raised in the Bay Area of California. I am studying biology, with ambitions to study mammalian genetics further down the road. I love to play volleyball, sing and dance, and explore the outdoors and all it's critters! I am serving in the New Mexico Albuquerque Mission as a representative of Jesus Christ, speaking in the Spanish language.

Why I am a Mormon

A few years ago, I fell away from the church. I was very confused about many things. How could a God exist, I just wasn't sure if it made any sense to me. My brother invited me to church one day because he was being ordained to a special calling, I knew it meant a lot to him so I obliged. While I sat in the chapel, I listened to the words of a visiting Apostle of Christ. I felt the warmth of my saviors love and the comfort of my God in my time of trial. I prayed to my Heavenly Father about the truthfulness of his gospel. I didn't understand how, but I felt in my heart and in my mind that the gospel was true. I felt that I might never be able to understand, but I had faith in my Saviors love, and his atoning sacrifice. I knew that I would be saved by his grace if I tried to gain a testimony. Over the next few years, I was able to gain a testimony of many of the things that I once feared. I have come to know the voice of my savior, as he has spoken truth to my heart many times. I know that the gospel is true, and that all can come to this knowledge with patience and true intent.

How I live my faith

I attend church with my friends and family each Sunday for three hours. We gather together and learn of our savior, and testify of our faith. In my student ward at Brigham Young University I organized weekly prayer for our floor, we were truly blessed with the opportunity to unite in prayer and support each other.
