Hi I'm Kayla

I am an avid Frisbee player, a architecture enthusiast and serving a mission in Montreal, Canada speaking French. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have just finished my Freshman year of college, and am majoring in civil engineering emphasis in structures. I am taking a break in my schooling in order to serve full-time as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I will be teaching the gospel to the wonderful people of Montreal Canada for a period of eighteen months, and am looking forward to bringing the happiness that I have felt to other people. I love to read and my favorite activity is throwing a Frisbee at any time I can. Whether this be with another person or just with my living room couch. Lets just say I can get creative when I want to play Frisbee. I am a member of the color guard in the marching band at my college and hope to continue with that once I return home from serving the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

Many may say I am naive since I have only known one religion in my life. This being said I have striven to learn as much about other religions as I can. But no other religion leaves me as confident in my life or happy. I am a very logical thinker, and those things that make me happy I would like to keep. Not a superficial happiness that can be achieved through substances or abuse but a true happiness that leaves you feeling cleaner, confident and more proud of who you are. I have found that through this gospel and through the love that I feel from the church itself.

How I live my faith

I was born into this religion and have attended church every week since the moment I was born. At the age of seventeen I decided that I wished to serve a mission so that I could help others be as happy as I am through this gospel. I have since prepared my self through thorough study of the Book of Mormon and am currently in the process of studying the Old and New Testaments. I have challenged myself to find daily a blessing in my life through the gospel and have succeeded in doing so for years on end.
