Hi I'm Jonathan

I grew up in Quincy, California. I play the trumpet. I'm a convert and a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the brother of three brothers. One older and two younger. I am eighteen years old. I am a convert to the church and was baptized the same day as my mom. Because of this, my parents divorced and we moved to Utah a little while later. My mom remarried and now I have five step-sisters as well; three older and two younger.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. The most important is I don't think I could live without the Spirit of God in my life. The feeling of having your pathway paved before you, to know what to do and to be guaranteed happiness upon my faithfulness to the commandments of the Lord. To know of a surety that if I do what I now know is right, that I will be happy and prosperous and never wanting of anything. I have searched for happiness my whole life and the closer I get to God the closer I feel to happiness and the happier I am. I cannot explain it except by showing and testing out that which I have done and that which millions are now doing.

How I live my faith

I attend church every week for three hours on Sunday. I speak at church over the pulpit and I teach a single sister at her home once a month. I have been going to the temple twice a week to do work on behalf of the dead. I have been called to Serve a mission in Bogota, Colombia and have waited my whole life for this. I leave on September 24, 2014. While I'm on this mission I will be teaching, serving, working, and loving those that I help. Everyday I will be filled with the power of God as I humbly do his will and his work.
