Hi I'm Taylor

I am from Utah and love running. I also play basketball! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated this year and I will be leaving to go on a mission to serve the Lord for 2 years in Argentina. My dad also went to Argentina. When I received my call, I had a confirmation that that is where I needed to go. I am an avid runner! I run every day without fail! (excluding Sundays). For some reason I find it extremely rewarding to run. 4 days before I leave for the MTC I will be doing my first Marathon and I can't wait! When I get back home, most likely I will be attending SUU for my first years of college. If I can manage to stay in shape, I want to tryout for the track team there!

Why I am a Mormon

As a member who has been a member my whole life, for a long time I felt like I was leaning on my parents testimony. I felt like I was only going to church and activities because they wanted me to. Finally I decided to pray to know for myself. I can honestly say that prayer truly works. My first true testimony came about Joseph Smith. I realized that it would have been impossible for him to form the words in the Book of Mormon. They are far beyond the level of education that he was. He translated it within 71 days. (Most Mormons couldn't say they have read it in that amount of time). Along with this, he suffered many pains, including being tarred and feathered, losing many children, and then ultimately losing his life. I realized that there was a reason he felt he needed to continue in the gospel despite his hardships. He had a sure witness that God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ were real beings and that they love us eternally. I now share that testimony with Joseph Smith. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

As a youth I am frequently involved with service projects. I find them rewarding and enjoyable, if you go in with the right attitude. I also home teach every month to my neighbors that I am assigned to. It is good for me to go teach because it helps me be ready to teach people on my mission. As I have stated before, I will be going on a mission to Argentina. While I am in the MTC (missionary training center) I will be learning how to properly use the spirit to teach. I will also pray often in hopes that I may receive the gift of tongues so that I can learn the Spanish language very quickly.
