Hi I'm Alex

I'm a student hoping to pursue a career in dentistry. I'm a musician who can't live without his piano. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to learn! I'm currently a full-time student at a university, studying to (hopefully) become a dentist. It's a lot of hard work, but I absolutely love it! I'm an amatuer musician--I've played the piano for about 15 years, and I've taught myself to play the alto and soprano sax. I also love to sing! Music is a huge part of my life; it is an outlet for me to express my feelings and emotions during my hardest times. I love to draw, spend time with my family, and enjoy the outdoors! I'm also an avid reader.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed to have been raised by my wonderful parents, who are members of the Church. Ever since I was young, they taught me about Christ and how I could develop my relationship with my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. But it wasn't until my mission in Paraguay that I realized how much I needed to rely upon God. There were so many difficult trials and hardships to face, but I came to know that God had the power to strengthen me and help me succeed, as long as I put my faith in Him and put forth greater effort to learn of Him. I have read the Book of Mormon and the Bible, and on several occasions I have received answers to my prayers confirming that these books indeed contain the word of God. I have a testimony and know with all the surety in the world that Jesus Christ lives, that He is our Savior and Redeemer, and that he loves us so much that he has again called prophets and apostles to teach us and help us remain safe in this wicked world. I love being a member of His church! And even though I still have many weaknesses and struggles, I know that Christ is there to strengthen me. Through Him, I can reach my divine potential and become more like Him.

How I live my faith

I love the fact that there are so many opportunities to serve others as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I am so blessed to teach Sunday school to the 16-17 year old youth in my ward at church each Sunday! It's such a wonderful opportunity to help them as they enter one of the most difficult stages of life, and I learn a lot from them as well. I also serve voluntarily in the temple each Saturday, which is awesome. I recently returned home after serving as a full-time missionary in Paraguay, and that was one of the greatest experiences I've ever had! It was amazing to love and teach and serve those humble people, to get to know them, and help them find the joy and happiness that comes from living God's commandments. I also get the chance to play the piano in various church meetings and share the musical talent with which God has blessed me.
