Hi I'm Iona

I grew up in California, retired from a dental office, raised 2 daughters, have 5 grand kids, married 57 years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read good books, knit hats for Humanitarian Services, help my quilting group by "pinning" and I love serving the Lord. Traveling is one of my greatest loves - well, after my husband. I am a mother, sister and grandmother. My best friend is my husband. We have been able to serve the Lord together and enjoy young adults and youth. I have neuropathy, which I hate, and am a cancer survivor.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon church, but there was a time I was not as active as I should have been. I had a spiritual experience that confirmed my testimony of the truthfulness of the Latter-day Saint Church. I have lived where there were small groups of Mormons where I served in many capacities at the same time and I have lived in large groups where I only had one calling. I have done everything from teaching dancing to religion classes. The church has been my "college" and I feel that I have a Master's degree. I love my God and my Savior.

How I live my faith

I am a visiting teacher and love those I visit. I am a Ward Missionary and will "drop anything" when I am called to serve. My husband and I enjoy working with the full time missionaries, we even inspect their apartments and help them resolve issues with them.
