Hi I'm Anthony

I'm applying for different graduate programs, and working in my community. Eventually I'll apply to medical school. I'm a mormon

About Me

I moved to Oregon almost a year ago, and I've been spending my time working and volunteering in my community. I love working with patients, and eventually I want to become a physician. Right now I'm hoping to get into graduate school so I can further my education and prepare for a future in medicine. Besides that, I love skiing, playing video games, seeing movies, or riding my bike.

Why I am a Mormon

I knew I wanted to become a mormon when the missionaries started teaching me when I was a teenager. After they told me about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon, they challenged me to pray and ask God if what they taught was true. I took that challenge, and as I prayed I felt so peaceful, and I knew in my heart that it was right. I continued to be taught by the missionaries until I had a testimony that this is Christ's true church on the earth today. Twelve years later and I am still a mormon, and I wouldn't change that for the world. Everything good that is in my life today is a direct result of my membership in this church. My faith today gives me strength to face life's challenges, knowledge that Heavenly Father listens to and answers my prayers, and hope for a better life to come through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I'm the only member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in my family. You might think that makes it difficult sometimes, but actually being a member of the church has helped me find ways to strengthen my family relationships in ways I would have never imagined. I know my family and I are all grateful for how we've grown together since I was baptized 12 years ago. I also find small ways to live my faith every day. Prayer and scripture study help me find strength and direction when I need it. Prayer also is an amazing opportunity for me to express my fears, concerns, triumphs, and joys with my Heavenly Father, because I know he's always listening. Finally, by attending church services each week I draw closer to my Heavenly Father and remember His son Jesus Christ.
