Hi I'm Ashley

I was born and raised in Pleasant Gove Utah. I'm called to serve a mission in Merida Mexico. I love my life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in Utah my whole life, I was a cheerleader for 9 years and I loved it so much. I attended SUU this last year and made some great friends, while I was there I made the decision to go on a mission. I've been called to the Merida Mexico mission and I couldn't be more excited about it. I come from a family who loves hunting, fishing, sports, and anything else that gets us outside and moving. My life may sound perfect, but it's not. But I'm happy, and love my life the way it is :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love my family. Through this gospel we have the chance to be with our families for eternity. This church is centered all around Christ and his atonement and when a family centers their home around Christ you will always grow closer I promise. I've had the chance to leave the church and live my life however I want to. I went to college and had no friends that were members, they weren't always the best influence on me and felt myself questioning the church. That's when I had to grow up and learn for myself if this church is true. I began to pray and study harder then I ever have and through that I slowly began to have a warm burning feeling in my heart known as the spirit. Now there is no question in my mind if this is true church. I love it with all my heart and feel so much joy just thinking about it :)

How I live my faith

I'm very lucky. My life is really tied into my faith. I have been the president over the young women in my wards. I'm a primary teacher right now, which means every sunday I get the chance to teach all the children about our faith. They are 10 and 11. I'm a visiting teacher to three young ladies in my ward which means once a month I get to meet with them and just visit and become closer to them and share a message about Christ with them. I love being a visiting teacher and getting the chance to become closer to the sisters that live around me.
