Hi I'm Jason Young

I was born in Nebraska, love cinema and art, and am currently serving in the Taiwan Taipei Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of seven. I have 2 older brothers, one older sister, and one younger sister. I grew up in Omaha Nebraska. I think cats are the greatest animal. They are smart, agile, and free. I respect them for their independence and free spirit. Okay, I really like cats. Anyway, I went to BYU for one year studying Political Science (though subject to change). I don't like the feel of constant disagreement with no resolute change. I originally thought I would be that someone who could make a difference, but as ive been on my mission I have realized this is not my calling in life. Im still searching for that calling, but im getting close. Im a fan of living out potential. I believe everyone has it. However, due to outside forces not everyone is willing to admit they have something to contribute. Come on girl! Get it together! Im currently serving my mission in the Taiwan Taipei mission. I love art and cinema. You would be surprised how much you can learn from a painting or a film. There is always something more under the surface. Being here as helped me appreciate art and culture even more. Also, if you have any movies or music recommendations, come find me. I await thee.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon by my own choice. There were times when I didnt want to be, but I had to work my way to where I am today. Going and doing is the best recipe for being involved in the church and finding your testimony. I am a Mormon because I love this church and its people. I enjoy having those around me who share my same beliefs and ideals. I feel comfortable in the church. I am a Mormon because I feel Christ in all my meetings, callings, and encounters. I know this is the true church and I would do anything to further it, and proclaim its truth throughout the world.

How I live my faith

In my school ward, I was a Sunday school teacher. This is a calling I really enjoyed because I could be interactive and involving with many people. Its great how much you can learn from people when you are teaching them. I live my faith through action, for this is the best way. I look up to my siblings and parents, who have set a wonderful example for me. I try and show my faith by setting an example for others to follow.
