Hi I'm Misao

I'm a creator. I love being outdoors. I love milkshakes. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love going outdoors. I love exploring. I love getting lost. One of my favorite things to do is to is go somewhere I've never been before and to just wander. You find so many cool things. Whether it's a forest, a city, a mountain, or a village. I just love exploring new places. Which is great, because I've been moving around my whole life. I've never lived in one place for more than three years. So, every few years I have a whole new world to explore. I also love nature. I love being surrounded by God's creations and taking in the beauty of it all. Winter is my favorite. I love snow. I love the cold. Every season has its beauty, but my favorite is winter. It's awe inspiring. And of course, snow is just the best thing ever. I love skiing, snowball fights, making snowmen, and just sculpting snow into anything. I love creating things. Snow is amazing for that. But I am also a huge fan of crayons. Crayons are fun. Also water colors. Cardboard and wire are fun for sculpting as well. Another thing I love to create is food. Specifically desserts. Cakes, cookies, cheesecake, pies, etc. My favorite is Milkshakes. I love ice cream. And milkshakes are the best way to eat it. Creating milkshakes is definitely art. And it is something I might venture to say I'm pretty good at.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ is the gospel of joy. It teaches the best and surest way to happiness; both in this life and in the next. I am a Mormon because I know the gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I am not following in blind faith. I am not a Mormon because my parents are. I am a Mormon because I have lived the teachings for myself and found them to be good. I am a Mormon because I want to be. I have not always known for certain that this is the true church. I never really doubted, but I did not have a knowledge of its truth. Now I do. I know because, I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and I have lived the teachings, and I have knelt in prayer, I have asked God if these things are true, and have received an answer from God that they are. I am a Mormon because I have received divine assurance that this is what God wants me to be. That this is Jesus Christ's true restored church in the latter days. And most of all, because I have received God's divine assurance that I am his child and he loves me. I know that every one of us is a child of God, and that God loves every one of his children. Everyone can receive the same divine assurance that I did. I am a Mormon because I love God, my Heavenly Father, and Jesus Christ, His son and my savior. And I know They love me too.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon affects everything I do. It's not that it controls your life. But the teachings of Jesus Christ are guiding principles that, when you follow them, can make you happy. In my daily life, I just try to follow the example of Christ. To love others and serve them in any way that I can. I know that God has blessed me with certain talents and abilities that I can use to help others in ways that only I can. I have tried to do this as I've served in leadership positions in youth groups, visiting and helping members of my community, and as a volunteer missionary for my church teaching people about the true joy one can receive through the gospel of Jesus Christ. The main thing though, is to continually strive for improvement. I always try to become closer to Christ by being a better person than I was yesterday. I will always have room for improvement, but as I try everyday, I can come closer to Christ.
