Hi I'm Jacob

I grew up in Idaho. I play the piano and the guitar. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been raised on a farm, and I'm thinking about majoring in Computer Engineering. I'm just starting, but that stuff really interests me. During my free time I like to play the piano and guitar. I prefer the acoustic guitar, but I also have an electric guitar I sometimes play around with. In the winter I like to go snowboarding, and in the summer I like to ride ATV's in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon. It influences everything I do in my life. I have grown up in a strong mormon centered family and community, and that has really strengthened my resolve to always be a good example of my faith. The world is always changing and making exceptions to its standards, so we can't trust what they say is right and wrong. The church has a specific set of standards that makes it easier to stay true to what is right. That's one thing I really like about being a member of this church; the steadiness and exactness of what should and should not be done. I know that this is the one and only true church on the earth, and it feels wonderful to be a part of that.

How I live my faith

I have participated in scouting and received my Eagle Scout Award. In church I have had some leadership positions over the young men. Once a month I used to go around to a couple of families and share a message about the church with them. Right now I am serving in the South Dakota Rapid City Mission, and I love it!
