Hi I'm Abby

I grew up in Northeastern Oklahoma. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my hobbies: draw, cook, hang out with family and friends, play sports but mostly volleyball and many more things. Since I've graduated high school I found a wonderful job working at a daycare on my off track from attending college at BYU-I. I now have my associates degree in general studies and am now taking a 18 month break to serve a mission at Temple Square for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am extremely excited to serve my Father in Heaven. After I return from my mission I am planning on moving back west where I will further my education in becoming an ultrasound tech.

Why I am a Mormon

My Great Great Grandparents on my mother's side joined the LDS church when they were young and my father's ancestor's have been members forever it seems. Long story short I was born into the LDS church. I have known nothing different and I wouldn't change that for anything. It's comforting knowing that my family before me were willing and faithful to be strong in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that without their enduring love and faith I might not be active in this church. By knowing wonderful examples, I have seen what blessings this gospel brings into lives. I am grateful to be a Mormon!!!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith best by serving others. Throughout high school I was involved in many programs such as FCCLA, NAHS, and NHS. We gave much service, in our school as well as to our community. Also I live my faith by living the standards that my church has given us. In high school I always thought that I would be teased for being a Mormon but I wasn't. They respected me for standing strong in what I believe in. Faith is another word for action. Without action there would be no work. Striving to live one's faith and taking that action shows others as well as God that you are willing to stand strong in becoming who you are destined to be.
