Hi I'm Patrick

I was born and raised in the Philippines, and live in Australia. I'm a Support Worker, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a very physically active person, always doing some form of physical movement, whether it'd be getting involved in sporting activities, exercising, etc. I'm also a very mentally active person, spending the rest of my spare time learning or increasing my knowledge on things I have an interest in, which is basically everything! Since joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, my life revolves around church duties and activities, whether it'd be attending to my church calling, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ or spreading the love of Christ through friendship and service.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons why I decided to be a Mormon. Why I chose to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Off course, the main reason is that I truly do believe this church is Jesus Christ's true church, but how I've come to know this is through the lifestyle of the Mormons. Their religion is not just about showing up for church on Sunday or on special occasions, it is about showing up from Sunday morning through Saturday night. That to me signifies a true disciple, a true desire. To them, there is no such thing as a part-time disciple of Christ. They strive with all their heart to follow His examples, not only in their church aspect, but also in all the other aspects of their life. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is their way of life. They are truly committed and dedicated to Him and all that He asks of them. Discipleship is an invitation to daily duty that all members willingly and gladly accept. Jesus Christ is their exemplar. They aim to follow in His footsteps for He beckons, "Come, follow me."

How I live my faith

I live my faith by acting upon it. Faith to me is having trust and confidence. I have confidence in my belief of God. That through my personal experiences and efforts, I've come to know Him. I have trust in Him, that He truly loves all of us regardless of who we are or what we've done. That He truly cares about our lives. With continued faith in Him, we can realise that He really just wants to help us. If we really had faith in something, we would not only believe it, but we would live it.
