Hi I'm Erin Mackie

I'm a wife, a student, an athlete and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college right now with my husband, we enjoy playing sports together, camping and hiking. We have both played soccer forever and have both played on many levels of teams, but we love to play together. I am studying Exercise Physiology and he is studying Computer Science. I'm not sure what I want to do with my degree yet and I still have a few years to figure it out, but what I would like to do most is be a high school soccer coach. I have played forever and even after 2 years of college all I want to do is have fun on the soccer field. I do love school, even though I might not say that every day, it is a real blessing to have this time to further my education.

Why I am a Mormon

As a child I was very independent. My mom always said that she couldn't tell me what to do because I would do what I want anyway. Before I was born both of my parents chose to be baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When it came time to my true conversion, it was my choice. I never felt like this was anyone's choice but my own. I love my Lord and Savior with all of my heart, and I know that the Mormon church is where He would be on Sunday if he were here on earth today. I know that I will be able to be with my Husband for all Eternity because of the Power that God and our Savior Jesus Christ have put on this earth today. I also know that it is only by this Power that we are able to return back to Gods presence and that is why he is giving everyone the opportunity, either here on this earth or after death, to learn about His Gospel.

How I live my faith

I try and live my faith everyday. We are all human and every christian has their moment where they aren't being very Christ like, but I try my hardest to be like Christ at every moment throughout my day. I know that is impossible but by asking myself what would Jesus do? It helps me a lot. It is so important to remember who you are everyday, You are a child of God, who loves you! I love and cherish the faith that I have gained, for it hasn't come easy and without nurturing it everyday, it will not become stronger. I live my faith by doing what God has told us will strengthen us. "Live my Commandments and ye shall prosper in the land"

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Erin Mackie
If you read the Book of Mormon and listen to what the spirit is telling you while you read it, you will find your answer. It may not come like a huge sign on the side of the road, it may just come by seeing how it improves your life for the better. But it will come, even if it doesn't seem like the easiest path.
