Hi I'm Ali

I grew up in Utah. I am a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student majoring in Biological Science Education. I like hiking, bike riding, and hanging out with friends. I'm excited to see what the future holds!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by parents who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, so I grew up attending church meetings and activities. I chose to be baptized and confirmed a member of the church shortly after my eighth birthday. During my teenage years, I began to study the scriptures (especially The Book of Mormon) and pray to know the truth for myself. My testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew little by little as I continued to follow the pattern of study, prayer, and obedience to God's commandments. I know the gospel is true because it brings me great joy when I live it. The scriptures provide answers to the questions and challenges I face. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live, and they love each of their children. When I pray, I feel their love for me. I am guided to know what is right by the Holy Ghost, who is the third member of the godhead. I know there are living prophets on the earth today who speak for God, giving us the counsel and warnings they receive from Him. I know Joseph Smith was one of God's prophets in the latter days; under the Lord's direction, he restored Christ's true church to the earth, received the priesthood, and translated the Book of Mormon. My decision to follow Christ by being a member of His church has provided the greatest happiness, peace, knowledge, and friendships in my life.

How I live my faith

I will be serving as a missionary in Nicaragua for eighteen months. This is an opportunity I have been looking forward to and preparing for my whole life, and I couldn't be more excited!
