Hi I'm Sandy

I grew up in Canada. I'm retired but very busy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 55 years old. I am retired but keep busy with my family. I have 4 children and 6 step-children. Between my husband and I, we have 17 grandchildren so far. Keeping up with them all is a challenge but it's great to see them on Facetime. I have a variety of interests. I enjoy quilting, tutoring children in reading, and singing in church and local choirs. I like to travel to visit our family and to see new places around the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon all my life. In High School, a friend of mine wanted to know more about Mormons. In helping her learn, I knew that I wanted to live the Mormon beliefs for the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

Part of living my faith is reaching out to others. I have enjoyed using my quilting skills to help our local Women's Shelter and made about 20 baby quilts last year. My husband and I have also had fun together conducting a monthly Sing-a-Long at a nearby Retirement Home. My husband and I are currently full time missionaries serving for 18 months in Historic Nauvoo, Illinois. It's a unique mission full of singing and dancing and giving presentations in the historic sites dressed in 1840's period clothing. Why do I do it? I'm here because I want to share my faith in Jesus Christ with others. I think sharing the gospel is a big part of living it.
