Hi I'm Maddie

I am a dancer. I am a Disney fanatic. I am a future teacher. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college and studying to be an elementary school teacher. I love to read and to learn new things. I have danced my whole life and am currently on my university's folk dance team. I love to spend time with my family. I am the oldest of three girls and my sister are truly my best friends and we always have so much fun together. I am a huge Disney nerd and love playing Disney trivia games with my sisters and friends. I love life and can't wait for my next adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony that the Mormon church or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church. I was born into the church and was baptized at the age of eight. I have grown up going to church each Sunday, reading the Book of Mormon with my family, and learning all about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I remember my freshman year of high school I attended an early morning seminary class in which we studied the Book of Mormon each day before school started. I had grown up with the Book of Mormon but as I really studied it I began to gain a testimony for myself that it was true. At the end of the year I prayed and asked my Heavenly Father if the Book of Mormon was true. As I prayed I felt peace and filled with love I knew that this was the Holy Ghost confirming that the Book of Mormon was indeed true. My testimony has only grown since then. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and the Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I know that Christ is my Savior and that through him we can return to live with our Heavenly Father. I know that God is my father and that he knows me and loves. I know that this is his Church and that by living the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ which this church teaches we can find true and eternal joy. I am so grateful to be a Mormon and know that my life is blessed because of it.

How I live my faith

This past year I had the opportunity to be the co-chair of the service committee in my Young Single Adult congregation at my college. In this position I helped to organize and run various service project for members of my congregation to participate in. Some activities we did were two blood drives, volunteering at a school for children with autism, and a canned food drive.
