Hi I'm Claire

I'm a sister, a daughter, and a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student studying sociology. I volunteer with refugees in the area and love it. I've got a small family, but we are very close!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in Utah with no religion. Growing up, I was wary of the LDS Church. During college, I started experimenting with religion and tried many different churches. A friend invited me to attend the LDS church with her one week. My first day there was life changing. I felt a spirit of peace and comfort that I had never before known. After that, I progressed in my conversion by going to church and meeting with the missionaries. Eventually, I was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Without a doubt, it is the best decision I have ever made and have never been happier!

How I live my faith

I help plan the service activities in my ward. I love reaching out to people in the community and giving them a hand.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

Before my conversion in the LDS Church, I held this same belief. However, by learning more about the story of Joseph Smith and the LDS Church, I came to understand that he is not a person worshipped by Mormons. Joseph Smith was an integral part of the restoration of the Gospel and was of Prophet of our Heavenly Father. He is respected and loved, but this is Jesus Christ's Church and he is the center of it. We only worship God and His Son. Show more Show less
