Hi I'm Tyler "TJ" Harding

I am a National Ballroom Dance Champion. I love hiking, mountain biking and spending time with family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hey guys! I'm Tyler! I grew up in Layton, Utah. My sixth grade teacher thought it would be fun to teach us how to Cha-Cha and from there I caught the dancing bug!! I've been dancing ever since and was accepted to Brigham Young University with a scholarship for ballroom dance! Since then, I completed two semesters at BYU and auditioned for and was accepted onto the BYU Ballroom Dance Touring Team! I've competed in various locations all over the Western United States and have won several National Championships with my team and competing individually. Dance is my life and I hope to be able to pursue it professionally as a career either as a teacher or a coach. I love music! My mom was a piano teacher and there was always music in our home while I was growing up! She taught me how to play the piano and I learned how to play the trumpet in middle school. I did choir all three years of high school and loved it! I can listen to just about any type of music except country.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my parents. Just like Nephi in the Book of Mormon, I was born of goodly parents who love the Gospel. They taught me right from wrong, loved me when I made mistakes and encouraged me when I was doing what was right. As I grew up, I prayed to God to know if the things that my parents taught me are true and I received a warm, loving feeling in my heart. I know without a doubt that this Church is true and that the things that my parents taught me are true as well. I love this Gospel and I love the peace that it brings. I have seen the Gospel of Jesus Christ bless families, bring comfort and peace to those in need and help people become more Christ-like. I love the Bible. I love the Book of Mormon. I love the teachings of the prophets and I plan want to share them with others.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving where ever I am needed in the church. Most recently, I was asked to serve a mission in the Italy Milan Mission. I am currently serving in Italy and will be there until June 2016. I love sharing the Gospel with the people of Italy! I live my faith by doing what the Lord asks me to do, going where He wants me to go, and sharing His Gospel with everyone I meet!
