Hi I'm Nathan

I'm 18. I love skiing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I see God's hand in everything, especially the outdoors. I love going into nature. In the summer time I love to hike, and have done several 100+ mile back-packing treks. In the winter, I ski. I ski raced competitively during my High-school years, and spent more time skiing than doing homework. I'm waiting to enter college till after I serve a mission in the Armenia Yerevan mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but not until last year did I really gain my own testimony. I was struggling with somethings, and I felt as if I had no where to turn. So I turned to the Lord. I gained my testimony of the Atonement and Jesus Christ by using the Atonement in my life.I know I am a son of the one true and everlasting God. My Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, died for me, and took upon my sins so that I can return to live with my Heavenly Father. This knowledge is priceless to me, but it wasn't free. I had to earn it through prayer and scripture study.

How I live my faith

I live my faith, by living the standards. I had a seminary teacher that always said, "The Gospel is true, be true to the Gospel." I really liked that. I know that the commandments may seem strict at times, but really give you more freedom. Commandments are like a seat belt, they protect you. You may feel like they restrict you, until you end up in a car crash. Those who are wearing there seat belts are safe and walk away from the crash, but those who were"free" end up in the hospital for a long time or in a grave. I know that the Lord has blessed me because I keep His commandments.
