Hi I'm Jacob

I´m from Idaho. I love airplanes and pretty much anything else that flies, and am serving a mission in Santiago Chile.

About Me

I have always been fascinated by flight, ever since I can remember. From when I was less than six years old I was completely obsessed with stuff like the Apollo moon flights, and with the idea that the sky was not, in fact, the limit. That interest has only grown since then, and I hope that I will be able to make this interest into a real career. Heres hoping! I also enjoy such things as video games (specifically "Portal 2!) and using computers in general, reading LOTS of books, and participating in various outdoor activities like caving and camping. I have also come to enjoy photography! Right now I am serving a full time mission in Santiago Chile East, and am really enjoying it! The people, the food, the language (which I had to learn while here....), its all completely worth it! Most of all, I am grateful for the chance to give this time to the Lord, and try to help other people to come to Him.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this Church is true! I grew up in a family where everyone is a member of the Church, but that does not mean that I do this simply because my parents do. I believe in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints! I believe in the Book of Mormon as the Word of God! And I know, I KNOW, that Our Heavenly Father is real! And that He speaks to us today! Through living prophets, and through the scriptures, and through personal prayer!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by making small decisions each day, decisions that help me better feel the Lords guidance in my life, guidance that helps my companion and I to share the restored Gospel with everyone who will listen!

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

Jacob
Lots! I started reading the Book of Mormon daily when I was thirteen, during a time of considerable spiritual conflict in my life, and have been receiving great benefits from that study ever since! Every single page of that book, from cover to cover, has something important to our lives in this day and age. Every single one. I have read that book about five times now, and I am still amazed at what I learn every time that I open it! Quite literally, when we read the scriptures it is as if we are hearing the voice of the Savior himself. If He were to appear at this very moment, and teach us, He would do it from the scriptures just like He did during His mortal ministry! Show more Show less
