Hi I'm Shelby

I'm a daughter, a BYU student, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just finished my freshman year at BYU and am home for the summer before I head out on my mission to Everett Washington!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know with my whole heart that this gospel is true. I have such a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon and the Bible and know that they are the words of Heavenly Father and his prophets. Sometimes I try to imagine where my life would be if I wasn't a member of the Church, but it is impossible. This gospel is simply a part of who I am. I know that we are all children of our Heavenly Father and that we will one day return to live with Him and His Son, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have been a member of the Church my whole life and love it! Growing up, I always looked forward to Sundays because it meant we got to go to Church again. Since I was 12, I've always had a calling in the Young Womens Organization and got to participate in the planning and preparing of our activities. While away at BYU, I was a Sunday School teacher, which was hard at first because I did not feel adequate to be teaching others my same age. Even though it was hard at first, I grew to love my calling and I truly feel like it was a blessing in my life as I prepared for my mission. I've always been a believer of teaching the gospel by example. I hope that when others look at me, they can see the light of Christ. I can't wait to serve the people of Washington and spread the gospel to those who are ready to hear it.
