Hi I'm Diana Harden

I'm a runner, a dancer, and a musician. I'm also a shortie. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Diana. I love to run and I love the arts! I have been able to do many wonderful things within the arts including ballet, school dance companies, musicals, choirs, and piano. This year I've worked as a piano and dance teacher for young kids. I find so much joy in giving a piano lesson and the girls in my dance classes never cease to lift me up, make me laugh, and remind me of how wonderful life is! More and more I see that it is the simple things in my life that make me the happiest. Early mornings, picking cherries, listening to the radio as I drive, spending time with my family..."These are a few of my favorite things..."

Why I am a Mormon

Right now I am getting ready to serve a mission in Santiago, Chile. This is something I have wanted to do since I was very young and I can hardly wait to share the message of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Something unique to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a book of scripture called "The Book of Mormon," which is another testament of Jesus Christ written by the ancient inhabitants of the Americas around the time the Bible was written. I have read it and prayed to know if it is true and have received the assurance through the Holy Ghost that it is! Every time I read it I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and want to follow my Savior more fully. I encourage everyone reading my words today to find a copy of this book and to do what Moroni says: "And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost" (Moroni 10:4). I can't wait to share the joy I've found in this gospel with the people of Chile. I know that it is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

The best part of my life is my religion. I find that I am most happy when I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and live up to the standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a member of this church (also known as the "LDS" or "Mormon" church) I have opportunities to serve my community and to receive support from the members of my ward (region) in visit teaching, service projects, and ward callings. Visit teaching is an assignment given to all women in the church to go out with a companion at least once a month and visit the homes of other women in their ward (region), be their friend, help them with anything they may need, and share a short message about Jesus Christ. This is just one simple thing that helps me to think not just about myself and to build friendships with women in my ward. We also teach each other in talks in Sacrament Meeting and other church meetings.
