Hi I'm Kelsi

I am was born and raised in Colorado. I am half Honduran. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I played the viola for eight years. I also was in choir in high school. I absolutely enjoyed performing and being on stage. I am someone who is very shy and quiet. But I love being on stage. I was in musicals during high school. They helped me come out of my shell and be more out going. My junior year of high school, I was in Guys and Dolls. I was put as a Hot Box Dancer. It was so much fun dancing and being on stage. It helped me a lot to break out of my shell. Music is one thing about me that is important and I really enjoy it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised Mormon. I have never experienced life not being a Mormon. But, I grew up and went to school with a bunch of people that were not Mormon. There were about three Mormons, including myself, that were in my class of three hundred senior year. My best friend since first grade isn't Mormon. My group of friends aren't Mormon. I had the opportunity to share my beliefs with them. They ask me a lot about my beliefs and I love telling them about it. I know this church is true. I know this because of how I feel inside. I feel peace and happiness. I know Heavenly Father loves all His children. And he wants all of us to return back to Him. He hears your prayers. He answers them. It may not be when you want, or what you want, but He knows what you need and what is best. He answered my prayers about serving a mission. He hears you. And he loves you. I know the church is true. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know Joseph Smith restored the gospel. And I know that Heavenly Father loves me and every one of His children.

How I live my faith

I am the chorister in the women's group. I lead the music every Sunday. Before I graduated high school, I was a leader in my youth group and I would help plan activities for the youth. I enjoyed it. Now, I am going on a mission to El Salvador. I am beyond excited.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

There are many things that tell me there is a God. When you go outside and see the sunrise, or even look up at the stars at night. For me, I remember in 2013, I got into a car accident. I was driving home late one night after hanging out with some friends. I was turning left when I got hit and totaled the car. It was terrifying. I know Heavenly Father was looking out for me that night. He was also looking out for the other driver as well. We both came out alright and unharmed. Show more Show less
