Hi I'm Toria Bigham

I from Utah and the Midwest. I love my family and my sweet friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a 19 year old girl who just finished her first year away from home. I recently returned home for the summer from Utah State University. There I was just finishing my generals so I can begin to pursue my major. I was born in Indiana. Afterwards my family moved to Maine, Illinois, Utah, Arizona, and now we are back in Utah! I have learned a lot from these moving experiences and also gained many dear friends! I enjoy playing softball, and I also swam on my high school swim team. I also am great at wasting my time away on Pinterest! In high school I had the opportunity to work as a dental assistant at a local dentistry. I also lifeguard and work at a nearby clothing store. Oh yes! I love clothes!

Why I am a Mormon

I was ever so fortunate to be born into this religion. I have amazing parents who also grew up in this church and have passed it on to me. Growing up I never thought much about it. It was just something I did every Sunday. I went to church, went to my class, sang some songs in primary. I wore tights that made my legs itch and a dress that I couldn't wait to switch into pajamas. As the years have gone by and I have had the opportunity to go to high school and college, I have really been able to realize why my parents made going to church, family home evening, scripture study and prayer a daily routine in our home. I have learned what is most important to me, and why it is important to me. I have seen examples of what I do not want to be and I have seen many amazing examples of what I want to become. Being away from home has helped me to gain my own testimony. I no longer need to rely on my parents testimony. I have my very own that is very dear to me. I know I have a Heavenly Father who knows me. He knows everything about me. He created me, and he knows my potential. But most importantly, I know he loves me. He wants me to succeed and he does not want me to fail. He has given us temples so that we can be with our families forever. I absolutely love my family, so the temple is most cherished in my heart. He has given me good parents who have taught me in the ways of the Lord. They have taught me the gospel principles and it is now my turn to share them with others. I know my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. They are real beings. They work as a team along with the Holy Ghost to help guide us to do what our Heavenly Father has in store. I love this church and I am so grateful that it is in my life! It is happiness.

How I live my faith

When I was twelve years old I had the opportunity to be the president in my young women's class. As the years went on I lived in a very small ward, so I was the president of just about every class! Mainly because I was the only one that was my age. When I was 16, I was so fortunate! I was called to serve in the special needs mutual. Here I had the opportunity to spend every Thursday evening with those with disabilities. Here I made some very sweet and dear friends who loved me unconditionally. I was assigned to be a councilor over just one special needs girl. I was assigned to her for the whole time I was in this calling. We made crafts, had dances, went on hikes! This was my most favorite calling I ever had and one I am sure I will never forget. As a college student I was called to be a teacher of a few classes! This was probably more of a learning experience for me than anyone else. I loved it. I recently have been called to serve a church mission in Michigan! Here I will spend 18 months teaching others all about what I believe and serving them! I can not wait!
