Hi I'm 'Aloisiamu'a

Dedicated & LOYAL. I stay TRUE. Called to serve in the Idaho Twin Falls Mission. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the oldest of 5 kids. I was born and raised in the Bay Area and moved to Tonga in 2009. I then came back to the Bay only to move back to Tonga in 2013. I have a passion for music and sports. I grew up performing various Polynesian dances and can definitely say I have a passion for it. Anyone who knows me, knows that Polynesian dance is a part of my life. I am grateful for my culture which has taught me RESPECT in every aspect of life! I attended San Francisco State University for a year then put school on hold while I tried to figure out what was best to do with my life. Went to Tonga to get away from the negative lifestyle I was living and then I was led to think of serving a Mission. Never had a Mission been a thought that crossed my mind but I am blessed to be currently serving in the Idaho Twin Falls Mission in which I strive to come closer to my Savior, Jesus Christ and help others do that as well. I hope to help people understand that no matter what background or environment they come from, there is always hope of a brighter future and that comes through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I hope that people will be able to witness the love of our Heavenly Father as I have. I love my family, I love my Heavenly Father, and I love my Savior.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that The Church of Jesus Christ truly is the Lord's kingdom established on the Earth in these latter days. I know that because of the Book of Mormon, we are able to know the fullness of the truth even in this world full of corruption. As I have sought to learn and truly receive and answer to my prayers, I have been able to feel without a shadow of a doubt that the principles taught in the church are true. I have been able to receive a divine answer from Heavenly Father as I have sincerely asked him to confirm the truth to me personally. I can't deny the feelings that I have felt nor can I deny the love that I have felt as I have read and studied the Book of Mormon and teachings of the holy prophets of God.

How I live my faith

One way I live my faith is by helping those around me. Whenever asked to play the piano for a ward or stake in Tonga, I am always excited and happy to help. I love helping those who need help or an extra hand. I enjoy visiting people who I don't often see. Growing up in the Bay Area was rough with all the negative influences around me and often times it was hard to stand firm in the faith. In High School the only thing that helped me stay out of trouble was volleyball and Leadership or Student Government. Being involved in school helped me live my faith as I was able to reach out to those around me and be there for people when they needed help. As I have been through so many experiences, I have learned to rely on the Lord and help others see that through Christ all is possible if they trust and have faith in him. There are times in our lives when we fall short or we tend to make mistakes but that is not the end. Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ help us feel the love they have for us as we allow them to help us change and turn our hearts to them. I have felt my Savior's love when I was at my lowest and I hope that everyone will feel of that love as well and allow it to change them as it has changed me.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

'Aloisiamu'a
We will never understand the Atonement fully but that should not stop us from learning to apply it to our lives. The Atonement is the sacrifice that our Savior Jesus Christ performed for us as he suffered for us that we might have the opportunity to return to live with our Heavenly Father. As he suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, he bled from every pore as he was able to feel the heaviness of our sins. As he was on the cross, he suffered so much pain in hopes that we won't have to suffer as he did. We are able to experience the healing and enabling power as we strive to know our Savior and come closer to him. We can do that as we allow the Atonement's power to change us into the sons and daughters that our Heavenly Father wants us to become. As we seek to apply the Atonement, we are better able to live comfortably and peacefully in this world in hope to receiving everlasting peace. The Atonement has helped me come to know that there really is a God and that he truly loves me and I know everyone can feel of that same love as they seek to understand and apply the Atonement. It's so rewarding to know that someone knows everything that I go through, whether it be sicknesses or mistakes, and will be able to help me get through it. Show more Show less
