Hi I'm Skyler Chase

Everyone has a story and although life can be rocky it rocks!!! :-)

About Me

At time it can be hard to articulate exactly "who I am", but at the same time it's very easy; I know exactly who I am and where I'm going. I may not have everything figured out 100% such as my future career, where I'll live, if I'll have kids and if I do how many I'll have, who I marry, or even what I'll eat tomorrow, but I KNOW that God lives and that Jesus is the Christ! I know that Christ suffered in the garden and died on the cross for you and me. Why is that important when I write "about me"? Well, I'll tell you; it's important because with the knowledge that I am a child of God, that I lived before I came to this earth, that God knows me and cares about me now, and that I'll live again when I depart from this mortal world affects ever aspect of who I am and the choices I make in my life! Who am I? I am a child of God! That is me! And I may not know YOU, but our Lord and Savior does! And you, as I am, are his child and he cares about you, your sister, brother, mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and all your extended family, PERSONALLY! Addressing the more temporal side of the question "who and I?" I enjoy the outdoors! I left my job with full benefits, even pet insurance, to be a white water rafting guide, and live in a tent for a few months while I prepare to serve a mission. I never thought living in a tent would be an answer to a prayer, but it was! Being here is yet another testimony to me that God knows us personally! There is much more, but I'm out of space

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I Mormon!?Oh man, that's a good question, a question that I asked myself many times!See, I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, but I didn't always know that I knew it was true. That may be a funny thing to say: "I didn't always know that I knew", but that's kind of the answer that I received when I prayed in humility to the Lord to know. The words impressed in my mind and in my heart where these: "Skyler, you know, you know, you've always known, stop fighting it." Oh how I would like to come through this screen in tell you in sincerity that this church is true, because it is! I am so thankful that you are here reading this!Ask questions! I did! I asked TONS of questions and what I found through my questions is that there is an answer to every question! It took me some time to come to terms with the fact that although there is an answer to every question that sometimes the answer is to wait and be patient, but I know that even if it's not in this life that all my questions will be answered that they WILL be answered! Christ lives!!! Oh, I am Mormon because it blesses my life in alllllll aspects!!! Pray, read the scriptures, and ask in humility, go to the source! I am not talented in speech, but I declare in soberness that this church is true! It's all about Christ, this is his church! We are so blessed to have modern day prophets on earth today as in times of old.The heavens are open and you too can receive revelation!God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. No matter how the world around us changes truth is truth and God is constant!God is a rock(not a literal rock of course, haha) what I mean is that he is solid and unchanging! I have, over time, worked and labored to build upon him and his foundation is sure!"A sure foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."This church is true and God stands at its head, that is why I'm here, that is why I choose to be Mormon!Because Christ lives and I am his child, so are you!

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I love the Savior and he is the perfect example of how to live my life! I personally do not believe there is one "Perfect". I strive to be "Christ-like" through all my interactions, but I also strive to use my personal strengths and talents to uplift and help other in every interaction! I'm far from "perfect", but as I read my scriptures, participate in callings, and serve others my heart turns to the Savior and I am in turn filled with peace, joy, and love! I just I live my life by not giving up when I make mistakes! I do make mistakes, but I strive to recognize those mistakes and make restitution promptly. As I repent and apply the Atonement (which basically means to "be at one with God again" it's like a reconciliation with God) and move towards my goals my life and the lives of those I love are blessed beyond measure! Life is good! :-)
