Hi I'm Alec Johnson

I play basketball. I am serving a honorable full-time mission in Honduras. I love cinnamon rolls. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my God, I love my Savior, I love my family, and I definitely love my sports! I am the oldest of four kids. I have a two younger brothers ages 14 and 8 and a younger sister that is 12. I love to play basketball and soccer and want to continue playing basketball at a collegiate level at Southern Virginia University. I like to longboard with my brother and go to my cabin!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. That doesn't mean I immediately knew it was true. I had to find out for myself whether or not I believed that God is my loving Heavenly Father. I had to find out that Jesus Christ really did Atone for my sins, because He loved me. I had to find out if the Book of Mormon was true. I had to find out if Joseph Smith really did restore the Gospel in these latter days. I had to find out many things when becoming of age where I questioned this faith. And so I did the work. I prayed. I read the Book of Mormon. I asked all the questions I had to ask. And God heard me. He answered my prayers. The Holy Ghost bore witness to me that this church is TRUE. And because I know that, I want others to know that! I want others to feel the love I feel because of the reality that God and Jesus Christ love me more than I will ever know! They truly love me. I am so grateful to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and will forever know, without a doubt, that this is Christ's church on the earth again and I will never doubt or deny it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith honorably and try to be the best disciple of Christ I can become. I love to serve my community and do so in different ways. If it's from a charity that I started when I was 8 years old to help children in our school district stay warm in the winter months to making sure a neighbor is doing alright, I love to help those all around me. I try to be a good friend and a better example in all that I do. I love the youth of my church and have great friends that help me live my faith a little more each and every day.
