Hi I'm Rowdy

I grew up in Southern Utah. Debate is my passion. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have always loved student leadership, and served as the Student Body President of my high school during my senior year. I have been involved in debate during high school and have won two team state championships as well as two individual state championships. I am the youngest in my family, and I am preparing to serve a mission in the Scotland/Ireland Mission. After serving for two years, I will return home and attend college and pursue a teaching degree.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is where I find peace and happiness. I have had many struggles in my life. My mother has been sick for most of my life, and was recently diagnosed with cancer. In December 2013, I lost my maternal grandmother and two weeks and two days later, I lost my paternal grandfather. The gospel is the place where I find comfort in these hard times, and it is where I know I can always turn. I am a Mormon because I know it is the true church today. Joseph Smith saw what he said he saw, and organized the church into what we have today. The gospel is the light I need in my life to push through the dark world today.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith everyday. I most recently served in a leadership position in which I had to work closely with the bishop of my ward. I was responsible for helping kids come to and enjoy church activities. Also, I was asked to just be an example. I try to live my faith by just being a shining example and showing people the light the gospel has brought into my life.
