Hi I'm Holly Ann

I am a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, a friend and I am a Mormon!!

About Me

I live in Alberta and I am a bookkeeper. I went to college later in life as a very mature student to take bookkeeping and accounting and computer courses. I love being a wife, mother and grandmother. I enjoy preparing special meals for my family on birthdays and other special occasions. I also enjoy crocheting and have continue a tradition my mother began in making Christmas stockings for each new family member.

Why I am a Mormon

I had a question I had asked of many ministers over the years and they could not answer my question or at least not answer to my satisfaction. The first evening I met the Sister missionaries I invited them into our home and made some polite conversation and then I said “I have a question and if you cannot answer it you will have to leave” The Sisters said “What is your question”? I asked “Why is there not a prophet on the earth today”? Well they smiled at each other and just kept talking about what we had been discussing – I then said if you cannot answer my question you will have to leave. One Sister said – I don’t know whether you want to hear the answer and then she said “There is a prophet on the earth today and his name is President Ezra Taft Benson” (President Benson was the prophet at the time. The spirit went through my body from the top of my head to the tips my toes as it is right now as I type. (at that time I did not know it was the spirit) Well they had me!! As I have grown in the restored gospel I feel the continued peace that comes with the spirit. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and that through repentance I can return to live with Him again as well as my family. I have challenges and trials but my inner strength comes from holding to what I know is true and staying connected to my Heavenly Father through prayer and attending the Temple. Reading the Book of Mormon is a very important part of my day and brings me to greater knowledge of Jesus Christ and his mission here on earth and helps me to remember we are all brothers and sisters and need to treat each other as such.

How I live my faith

My faith is very important to me. I live my faith by serving and loving others. I serve in church callings with youth, children and the women. My testimony of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ has grown through serving others and hearing their testimonies. I love the scriptures and read them daily for added strength. I also enjoy the hymns and listen to them on a regular basis.
