Hi I'm Ammon

I love being active and playing sports, particularly the world's best sport: soccer. I currently attend BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've grown up playing soccer and love it. I played all throughout High School while also running cross-country. My years of competitive soccer are over, but I participate in pick-up games whenever I get the chance. I spent 2 years spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Tennessee and Kentucky. Since returning home, I have started attending school at Brigham Young University.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in an LDS family where we were taught to believe in Christ. As I got older, I began to question whether I actually believed in these things or I was just following my parents. I eventually decided for a time that I did not believe the teachings of the LDS church and questioned whether there was even a God. Through a continued desire to know, diligent scripture study, and answered prayers, I came to know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ, restored on the earth, and that the Book of Mormon was and is inspired scripture that had been written by prophets long ago. I know that I have a Father in Heaven who loves and knows me as an individual, despite my mistakes and shortcomings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the small things. Attending church to be edified, reading from the scriptures, and praying, are important in helping me to feel the Spirit throughout the week and grow closer to my Savior. Truly living my faith, however, means doing the small things like providing service, using clean language, and being a friend to others. I try to be someone who others can turn to, and live in a way that others know what I believe without me needing to say a word.
