Hi I'm Andrew

I was born in California, then my family moved to Utah. I like Lego and robots, and I won a robotics competition. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I like robots and Lego. I can build just about anything with Lego pieces, and I build robots and have won a robotics competition. I also like to go camping and hiking, and I like to read. I make movies with my brother, and the newest one is stop-motion. Sometimes I go kayaking with my family. I also like making forts. I dig into the sides of the snow piles left by the snowplows(That is what my picture is), and I also put boards up in trees. I go to an online school. I also have Asperger's.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been going to the church for as long as I can remember, but now that I am older, I see how important it is. The doctrine makes sense, and it answers a lot of questions. The Book of Mormon and the Bible both teach the same things, and they work as witnesses of each other. The Doctrine and Covenants is a newer book that has revelations from Joseph Smith and the other modern prophets, which helps explain even more.

How I live my faith

I go to youth activities and participate in Boy Scouts. Recently, we had a snowstorm. The snow was really heavy, and the trees already had leaves, so the snow broke a lot of trees. For a youth activity, we went around the neighborhood and piled up all of the branches on the street in front of the houses. The next week, we picked up all of the branches and took them to the dump. I try to be nice to everyone, and I go to seminary. I go to church each week, and I help prepare and pass the sacrament. I study hard for school, so I can graduate high school and go to college. My family does family home evening, and we read scriptures and pray together.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No, but he was the first prophet in modern times, and he restored the true church of Jesus Christ, so we respect him. We know that Jesus Christ is the true leader of the church, and that is who we worship. We learn about Joseph Smith's role in the restoration, and it was important, but without Jesus Christ, none of it would have happened. Show more Show less
