Hi I'm Gordon Kou

I woke up one day and realized that I was in Mongolia. I like fancy ties. I like red. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Arizona but grew up in Utah. I love to learn new things and have new experiences. I love camping, hiking and adventuring around Utah with friends and family. I graduated from both college and high school in 2014. Finding out about the big wide world. I teach as a volunteer English teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I do believe knowledge is power. In this life there are so many questions that yearn to be answered. I am one of those people who have to know. I love learning new things and putting all together with things I already know. The greatest thing about the gospel is that it is a personal one. One where I'm not just someone, but one where I know that I am a child of God. And because He loves me, He allows me to know for myself that what I learn is true. I don't have to take someone else's word for it, I can find out for myself that it is true. God does answer prayers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith be being a friend and living by my standards. I love to share the gospel with friends because it had brought me happiness and I would love for others to find that kind of pure joy that I have felt.

Are Mormons Christians?

Gordon Kou
We are Christians. Although we are known as Mormons, the full name of our church is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If you come to any of our meetings, you will immediately see an emphasis on Christ and His gospel. Show more Show less

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Gordon Kou
We pay tithing because we are obedient to the Lord's commandments. When we pay tithing, we are blessed more than what we payed in tithing. When we put the Lord first, we show our commitment to the Lord and He will bless us every time. As I have payed my tithing, I have seen countless blessings from my Father in Heaven.
